    • Demonstration in Malindi against salt firms that had blocked routes to water points on 14/2/06.
    • Barricading of the Mombasa - Nairobi highway by Taita/Taveta Rights Forum to protest against Kenya
    • Wildlife Service following the killing of a resident by an elephant.

2. Ngomeni people’s plea to CRF for enlightenment on the public inquiry report.

3. The Provincial administration now recognizes Coast Rights Forum, Taita/Taveta Rights Forum and Malindi Rights Forum.

4. Salt firms workers recognize MRF as powerful tool for collective bargaining for example KEMU salt company workers mandating MRF to fight for their plight after the firm closed its operations due  to a legal tussle around ownership of the company

5. Malindi residents’ fearlessness as depicted through:
    • Going back to their shambas.
    • Protesting against the arrest of those who had gone back to their shambas.
    • Defiance of a court order barring them from going back to their shambas.
